My name is Savannah Jaye.

I'm a photo student at Savannah College of Art and Design.
I have a passion for people and their stories.
I'm a writer, photographer, and wanderer, but I'm not sure in which order.
I'm living my dream and interning for TWLOHA this spring.

What you read on this blog are my thoughts and my words, and are in no way endorsed or sponsored by TWLOHA.

I'm not there yet, but I'm past the start.

hold your breath today.

the moment before the needle pierces the skin.

the first time your hand touches somebody else’s and you aren’t sure how they’re going to react.

the split-second between the car in front of you braking and the car you are riding in braking.

when your phone starts ringing; before you know who is calling, while you have that inward battle where your heart and mind fight over who you want it to be and don’t want it to be simultaneously.

after your doctor walks into the room, but pauses before telling you the results from your tests.

right before you tell your mom everything.

right before you tell your best friend everything.

while you’re crying, because sometimes it’s okay to want to cry for just a few minutes longer.

when you’re driving in heavy rain and go under a bridge, and everything goes dead silent for a second lasting an eternity.

between knowing you’re about to have your heart broken and having your heart broken.

before breaking out into laughter.

to give you courage leading up to making a tough decision.
