My name is Savannah Jaye.

I'm a photo student at Savannah College of Art and Design.
I have a passion for people and their stories.
I'm a writer, photographer, and wanderer, but I'm not sure in which order.
I'm living my dream and interning for TWLOHA this spring.

What you read on this blog are my thoughts and my words, and are in no way endorsed or sponsored by TWLOHA.

I'm not there yet, but I'm past the start.

day 2: with hope.

You chose life, and everyday you continue to wake-up choosing life.
You deserve life, and you deserve nothing less than life.
This is not to say that with each decision life will suddenly be made more bearable.
And this is not to say that by choosing to confront your problems head-on they suddenly become smaller.
There will still be bad days.
There will still be hard days.
And there will be days where you think the world can’t possibly go on any longer.
But there will also be good days.
And there will be great days.
And then there will be the days that are so wonderful that you can’t help but just be grateful for the opportunity to be alive in that moment.
So make the most of that day.
And make the most of the bad days too.
Make the most of the days when the best (and worst) of both days collide, and you don’t really know what do anymore.

Each day, each moment, each choice is another step in your journey and another page of your story.
It is a journey you alone can make and a story you alone can tell.
Cherish your story. Embrace it. Share it.
It has power. It has beauty. It can change lives.
It is a precious gift that has been entrusted to you alone.

There will be days where you wake-up and may not want to choose life.
It is hard to get up sometimes.
It’s tough and it will take courage to face the day.
But you can do it.
You are far stronger than you can realize.

Somedays you may feel alone.
Somedays you will feel like you cannot carry this journey by yourself.
But there are people out there who love you.
There are people out there who are rooting for you, fighting for you.
These people believe you can succeed and they want to help you succeed.
Share your story with them, let them help support you during the healing process.
Know that you are loved far more deeply than you will ever begin to understand.
Know that you are loved in way that is not dependent on you.
Know that you are loved in a way that you cannot lose and you cannot earn.
