This photograph was part of a 10 image portrait series from my studio lighting class this summer. This series was heavily inspired by abstract expressionism and the ultimate goal was to allow the subject the opportunity to present their self in a way that is not typical for our society. Each person was presented with a white v-neck tshirt and fingers paints and allowed to express their own creativity in whatever way they deemed appropriate. One of the most interesting aspects of this project for me is getting to compare the “before” and “after” shots and seeing how the two images either complimented or contrasted each other.
